Default Importing guns from the US

I am wondering if anyone knows the procedure or whats involved with bring up restricted guns from the us? Everything is cheaper down there and may be worth the hassle to get it up here.

Not everything is cheaper down there, some guns are a lot more expensive.

In answer to your question, no it is not worth the hassle or the expense. By the time you eventually get it here it will have cost you more than buying one locally.

It's actually pretty easy if you do your home work first

But there is most often more than one person involved. The BS has to be dealt with on the Canadian side of the border, and a whole load more BS has to be dealt with on the US side. Just finding someone with the necessary licences who would be prepared to go through with all the paperwork is a major hassle.

What do you mean there is more than one person involved? It may be a hassle but there are guns there that are not available here for less than half the price they are here.

Many times.

I get lots of enquiries from the US from people wanting to buy open bolt sten guns. They want to buy them here because they are cheaper here than in the US. I tell them that if they can get an import license I can get an export license. I have shipped a grand total of 0 sten guns to the US.

I also suppose it depends on where you live, I am only 90 minutes away from
http://www.buffaloguncenter.com/

They sell to Canadians regularly and have our system and theirs down pat.
